Brother’s Latest Wireless/Cordless MFC Makes Sense
For the longest time, I thought the most useless item on a fax machine or a multi-function printer (MFC) was the actual phone. HELLO - I’m a MAC, and I’m a PC, etc...
I like commercials – well not all commercials. Since 1984, when in an Orwellian fashion Apple introduced Macintosh – and we saw “why 1984, won’t be like 1984”, not only have I been hooked on the Mac but I just can’t get enough of their commercials. So each time a new one comes out, I head straight to Apple’s site, where I can view the latest in 4 sizes including high-definition

Old Mac – Time to Say Goodbye?
When it comes to technology, I‘m a fairly early adopter. However, I don’t exactly camp out with a sleeping bag at the front of the line every time the latest and greatest hits the street. Although admittedly, as a self-professed Gadget Guy, the temptation certainly exists. Ok, I like to play! But in reality, it’s the self-talk, the evil “B” word – “Budget” that keeps me from that temptation while delivering me a swift reality check.

TuneTalk Makes Your iPod a Voice Recorder
While the iPod revolution has gone through some major evolution, one feature found on many music devices, that’s always been missing on the iPod, besides a built-in radio tuner, is the ability to do voice recordings. We focus so much on the hearing, playing, shuffling and downloading – all output elements, we sometimes need a little input.

Apple Doubles Solid State Capacities & Thinks Pink
With capacities of hard drive bloating as demand for storage soars to infinity and beyond, as my pal Buzz Lightyear would say, one of the complaints I often hear about a select few of Apple’s offerings is the meager capacities of the devices that have solid state drives.   While the iPod Classic today boasts a respectable 160GB in its compact package, albeit a traditional hard drive,  Apple’s offerings that incorporate solid state devices, more specifically the iPod Nano, the iPod Touch and iPhone (not in Canada – of course) have been limited to a mere 5-10% of those capacities-  8Gb and 16GB respectively.

MacWorld 2008 Keynote Highlights
For the Mac Enthusiast, one of the greatest things about a new year, after New Year’s Eve, is the always anticipated Keynote from Steve Jobs, the CEO, Apple Inc. Prior to the keynote, which this year was on Jan 15th, rumours had run rampant including supposed leaked drafts of Steve’s keynote. A new MacBook, a Tablet Mac, a sub-notebook and iPhone part-deux were all part of the mill. But Steve has been playing this game for a long time. Perhaps it was Steve himself that let slide these vicious rumours.

New iPod Nano –More Breadth & Beauty
It may have added a little width to its appearance but the view of Apple’s new iPod Nano leaves you breathless. That’s right! The new Nano is “fatter” that its predecessor but it’s added breadth has made room for something that was missing – the ability to play video.

The iMac Evolution
Apple has unveiled it’s most powerful, sleekest all-in-one computer to date – the iMac. Now the iMac line itself isn’t new. In fact, coming of age, it’s now in it’s 10th year and it’s 4th generation. Its latest reincarnation has shed the iPod looking white in favour of a beautiful MacBook Pro family style anodized aluminum.

How soon we forget that it was the iMac, where the “i” stood for Internet and not the iPod, that saved Apple from the brink of destruction and started the “i" revolution.
