G4 Canada’s Call for Help to air five themed episodes

November 22, 2006 – Toronto, ON – G4 Canada, the network dedicated to all things technology, is pleased to announce the Call for Help holiday countdown - five special episodes devoted to holiday technology ranging from party planning to gaming advice and shopping tips. Host Leo Laporte and special guest co-host Cali Lewis from tech podcast Geekbrief.Tv will show viewers the latest in online resources and tech tricks to make this season festive, interactive and full of holiday technical gear. The episodes will air from December 4 to December 8 at 6:00 p.m. ET/PT.

In the five special holiday themed episodes of Call for Help, Leo and Cali will take viewers through this year’s advances in online shopping, gift giving ideas and the latest holiday planning websites guaranteed to enhance the holiday experience. Consulting with gaming pros and tech journalists, Call for Help will check out the hottest gadgets and gaming gear guaranteed to spice up the old Christmas stocking.

Call for Help’s holiday countdown, with themes of gadgets, party, gaming, extreme tech and kids, will be sure to equip viewers with all the tools to ease through the hectic holiday season. The gadget themed episode will take an in depth look at what’s available in this season’s gift guides while the gaming and kids specials will look everything from kids top picks to the newest in educational tools to the hot new games of the future. Extreme tech will dive into high-end entertainment product and look at wacky tech innovations. The week will also include visits from special guests like Miss Martini Party Planner and experts from the Canadian Toy Association

G4’s Call for Help is a daily one-hour show designed to help viewers of all knowledge levels from tech savvy to novice get the most out of their technology and keep them up-to-date on all the latest technology news and products. The program features responses to viewer calls and viewer e-mails as well as product demonstrations, fun tech tidbits, breakdowns of tech jargon and updates on the latest trends in technology.
